About this learning path

Learn the essentials of tilapia welfare and how to turn data into better farm decisions.

In this blended learning path you’ll explore key welfare concepts, understand the four welfare domains (nutrition, environment, health, and behaviour), and learn how to apply welfare indicators on farm.

You’ll also be introduced to the FAI Tilapia Welfare App – a practical digital tool that helps farm teams record welfare indicators, track trends over time and connect results to real improvements in farm performance.

The learning path combines a live webinar with five online courses so that you can build confidence, test your understanding, and start using welfare‑based thinking in your day‑to‑day work.

WHO IS THIS LEARNING PATH FOR?

This learning path is designed for:

• Early‑career aquaculture graduates
  who want a practical introduction to tilapia welfare and monitoring tools.

• Young professionals entering tilapia production roles
  including farm technicians, trainee farm managers and support staff on tilapia farms.

• Professionals who will support tilapia farms
  such as vets, consultants and technical advisors who plan to use the Tilapia Welfare App as part of their work with farms.
